Mustard style inspiration!

Continuing with our mustard inspirational tones of winter we discovered the beautiful Sling club chair in walnut . The Sling club chair by Australian designer Craig Bassam @BassamFellows embodies true quality by offering hand-crafted furniture for contemporary living.

The Sling club chair is our hero piece complimented with warm tones of mustard and brown neutral tones. We were pleased to discover the Lemnos CuCU clock from Oopenspace a great accessory to add an element of fun and flair.

Mustard fabric from Decor Design and wild Rice Tretford carpet complement one another as they are tied together with natural fibres in the wallpaper from Scandinavian wallpaper, a beautiful supplier.

Be bold this winter and let our design visual inspires you to use neutral tones highlighted with the golden warmth of mustard.image look 2

Please note we are not affiliated with any of the above mentioned suppliers, we simply  love their products and believe in supporting  Australian suppliers.

Mustard is the colour of Winter

If you want to stay on trend this winter it looks like Mustard is the colour of the season.

“Mustard is a dull/dark yellow color that resembles culinary mustard. It is similar to the color Flax. The first recorded use of mustard as a color name in English was in 1886” (Wikipedia).

Mustard is a colour that adds depth, warmth and a ray of brightness to an interior colour scheme, the trick is to use it sparingly highlighted through artwork and accent furniture pieces. Gold tones work well with mustard and similar tones of blue to create intensity and drama, as shown in this image below.

Using a colour palette of warm tones of yellow, gold and brown create an intense and strong interior design scheme, perfect for warming up a cold winters day.
